🎨 A new tartan was made just for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games! It has blue, pink, and purple colors on a grey background, inspired by Glasgow's shipbuilding past.

👗 A designer named Siobhan Mackenzie made the tartan. She will also design special tartan clothes for Team Scotland’s athlete.

🧵 Tartan is a colorful, checked fabric from Scotland.
People have used it for hundreds of years to make kilts and scarves. There are now about 7,000 different tartans!

🎭 The new tartan will be used for the Games’ mascot’s clothes.
We’ll find out who the mascot is later this month!

🏅 The Commonwealth Games will happen in Glasgow from July 23 to August 2, 2026. There will be 10 sports, like swimming, running, basketball, and gymnastics.
