A jellyfish the size of a school bus: the new scientific discovery in the Argentine SeaThe Stygiomedusa gigantea was recorded at a depth of 250 meters, and its four arms can reach up to 10 meters long.- 🌊 Scientists explored the deep sea off Argentina and found it full of amazing animals like corals, worms, snails, and sea urchins.
- 🐙 They discovered a giant jellyfish called Stygiomedusa gigantea that is as big as a school bus with super long arms.
- 🐟 Tiny fish were swimming around the jellyfish's huge bell, which can be one meter wide, and it uses its arms to catch food like plankton.
- 🏝️ The team also found the largest cold-water coral reef called Bathelia candida, which is home to many sea creatures.
- 🗑️ They noticed trash like fishing nets and even a VHS tape in the ocean, showing humans leave stuff far from land.
